We chose the Sheraton at Frankfurt airport because of the convience of the location, as our fly left next morning. For that purpose it was great. The hotel is direct at the airport and for one night it was ok. It is a huge hotel with lots of international quests. I was -to be honest- supprised how big it was. The check-in was fast, they have got enough staff working at the reception. However, please note that this is a place, where you don't necessesary get the service in german, even though it is in Frankfurt. The room was confortable and what we expected. The breakfast was good and there was quite a lot of variety. The quality of the food was ok as well. The breakfast room reminded me about the 70s and 80s. It was huge and full but there was room enough for everyone. Staff was polite.

"From the moment I stepped into the Sheraton Frankfurt, I was welcomed. The staff's warmth and efficiency made check-in a breeze. The newly renovated club room was immaculate, with modern amenities such as my favorite coffee maker, Nespresso. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a layover at the Frankfurt airport. Angelika from the Sheraton Club was especially friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make sure my breakfast experience was memorable.

The main selling point of this hotel will always be its location, which for anyone flying from terminal 1 (NOT terminal 2) is admittedly convenient. The hotel clearly understands this fact as giving it carte blanche to underdeliver in other aspects. I had two separate stays here in April 2024, but on these occasions, just as with a previous stay a year ago, left without any warm feelings towards the hotel. On all stays, I had to wait too long to check in, and indeed, based on observation, can say that there is almost invariably a long line at reception. True, there is a desk nominally reserved for Marriott rewards members, but it is not clear whether, as is usually the case with separate check-in for preferred guests, absolutely any guest wishing to do so uses the line supposedly only for members. The Sheraton undertakes zero effort to make this clear, despite the fact that this could be easily accomplished with a rope line. As if I hadn't wasted enough time waiting to check in, the clerk felt the need to assure herself of my willingness to continue speaking in the language in which we had already been communicating without a problem. Even minus the typical German arrogance, I don't tend to want to draw out the dialogue with hotel clerks; all I really want is the rotten key, ideally without a single word exchanged in the process. But since using the Marriott app never gets me the key, reducing its value to near zero, hotel clerks and their recitations of invariably extremely limited interest (among other things, for example, I don't care one whit about this hotel's new German restaurant) lamentably can't be bypassed. The room, located in the allegedly remodeled section (as the hotel clerk deemed necessary to inform me), did not stand out in any way whatsoever. It was a basic hotel room in the middle of a long corridor, with no view to speak of. The shower had settings for the handheld shower head as well as something overhead, but there was nothing overhead for water to emerge from. The razor in the shaving kit was of appallingly low quality - I had to put it aside and use my own razor. Why even bother providing a razor, if a proper one can't be furnished? The executive lounge was a disappointment all three times. The selection in the evening is remarkably limited. So much so, that on the occasion of my most recent stay I put the empty plate back down and left after a brief survey of my options. There is a grocery store with a salad bar within the same complex, maybe three minutes' walk from the Sheraton, and that satisfied my needs far better than the Sheraton ever would. Of course, in view of the prices demanded by the Sheraton, one would expect better. Though at this point, on the basis of three stays, it has become clear that expectations of better are doomed to disappointment at this hotel. As hotel fitness rooms go, this one was not bad in terms of equipment, though it was far from being a fully equipped gym. Given the size of the property, it could have easily been yet larger. There was no good place just to do some stretches. Breakfast here was one of those affairs typical at hotels that are just looking to tick off a sufficient number of the usual boxes and don't want to go one single iota further than that. So, beans in tomato sauce, mushrooms and potatoes are all there, not to mention the usual animal products. But if you were hoping for one thing not part and parcel of an absolutely conventional hotel breakfast, you're in the wrong place. And, I have to say, it was all so oddly tasteless that I found myself wondering whether I'd woken up with Covid. Given everything, I would recommend this place only for those with a very early flight leaving from terminal 1. And I would suggest they significantly limit their expectations to avoid disappointment.

Very good airport hotel

This is an enormous hotel in an enormous airport! We stayed here overnight before our flight home from Germany. As an airport hotel, they were very kind and let us check in early. It's a bit of a schlep from the train station, or from the gates. International flights arrive and depart from Terminal 1, this is in Terminal 2. So we needed to get a bus from one terminal to the other. When we left to head back, we must have walked over a mile, from the hotel to terminal 1 via inter-terminal train, to get to check in and the gate! There is free still water in the room, a mini fridge and a Nescafe coffee machine with powdered creamer and mugs. There's a Starbucks in the lobby and we were gifted a free coffee at check in. We ate lunch at the restaurant in the lobby and had a VERY tasty Burger. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Flavors, so once you're in the hotel, you don't have to leave until your flight does. There are lots of shopping and dining in the terminal, and if you have the stamina, have at it. There is a grocery store so you could lay in supplies if you prefer. Be sure to head out early, the elevators at 7:30 AM were VERY full and we waited at least 15 minutes before we had one that had enough room for us and our suitcases.

After a bussy working day I arrived at Mariott Hotel Airport to start my holiday. Since the M Mo Maid, the stuff in the Sheraton Club, was especially nice and helpful and made my evening a very good Experience ariott was overbooked, I was invited to Check in at the Sheraton, which was very nice 😁 many thanks to the very friendly and nice Lady at the reception of the Mariott Hotel 👍just arrived and happy to made it finally to the Hotel I followed the recommendation to visit the Sheraton Club. Mr. Mo Maid, the stuff in the Sheraton Club, was especially nice and helpful and made my evening a very good Experience as the start of my Holiday 😃 thanks a lot for the courteous Service and all the best, Silvia
